Doing so can assist you in identification of charitable causes close to your clients’ hearts as well. It also provides you with documentation to which you can refer in the future should your clients’ charitable interests or financial position change.
To simplify this process, the Racine Community Foundation offers the following client interview tool for your use. Consider it a conversation-starter. After asking these questions, you will be able to capitalize on your our expertise and experience to develop a charitable giving plan or estate plan that is in the best interest of your clients.

- What types of community projects have you been involved with over the years?
- What aspects of the community have been most important to you? What aspects have affected your life or touched your heart? For example: Did you receive a scholarship for your education? Is that something you would consider to help someone else?
- Have you thought about leaving a legacy here in this community or in your hometown?
When you combine this information with the information you have garnered regarding your client’s history and their financial goals and objectives, you will have the building blocks for the estate plan you will develop.
